Not So Fresh Produce For Amazing Food !

I went grocery shopping recently and I found a lot of produce marked down. Now a gal like me loves a a deal, especially on food. The produce that I purchased had a couple of bad spots on them but I cut those suckers off and did away with the rubbish. I purchased potatoes which I made into home fries in the oven with some lemon pepper, black pepper, onion powder and a little bit of garlic power. I also grizzled olive oil over them in a small Pyrex dish. Next on my list was a a stalk of broccoli. I made some a COPY CAT BROCCOLI CHEDDAR SOUP from Panera Bread. The Pinterest link is not working so I found the original link.  http://therecipecritic.com/2014/01/copycat-panera-broccoli-cheese-soup/ I cut the dead parts off and I got my cutting board and chopped away for my soup. It was amazing. I altered the recipe. I added grilled chicken to it and it was absoutely amazing. Like one of the best soups that I had ever made. I think Panera should hire me:)  Last but not least, I purchased a beautiful pineapple. It was marked down for $2.50. There were a few bad spots on it, but ya'll know what happens to that, cut off lol :) I watched a YouTube video to find out how to do it the correct way and it was actually fun and messy ! It was so sweet and a beautiful bright yellow. I was amazed at how easy it was. I separated mine into three quart sized freezer bags with the date on them. They will be awesome in my fruit salad later this week. But they are also good for smoothies or a frozen treat. Have an electric day !!!
